Why learn Spanish in 2026?
Spanish is one of the most approachable languages for an English speaker. The US Foreign Service Institute places it in Category I, its group of languages close to English, at 30 weeks of training (690 class hours) to reach general professional proficiency — and the spelling matches the sound, so what you read is what you say.

What Spanish looks like in the first 30 days
- A different first week. Spanish is the one course that brings in colors and shapes on Day 3 and body parts on Day 7, before it turns to restaurants, travel and work.
- Adjectives agree and usually follow the noun: rojo becomes roja in la casa roja, the red house (Day 3).
- The ending does not always give the gender away: la mano, the hand (Day 7), ends in -o and is feminine.
- Two words for the same thing: el coche, the car (Day 13), is el carro in much of Latin America, and el móvil (Day 22) is el celular.
- A false friend to know: estoy embarazada (Day 19) means I am pregnant, never embarrassed.

Do I need any Spanish experience to start?
No. The course starts at Day 1 with Hola, Buenos días and Me llamo…, and nothing is locked to a calendar, so you can take the days at your own pace.
Can children learn Spanish on KindLearn?
Yes. The Kids Zone teaches Spanish to children aged 4 to 12: 30 days, six picture words a day, 180 words in all, starting with Gato (cat), Perro (dog) and Pájaro (bird). They are chosen by how often you will actually meet them, so the course opens with greetings & introductions, numbers & counting, colors & shapes. Earlier days come back at widening intervals: day 1 is revisited by days 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8, and its ten words are split across those revisits, so each one returns once or twice.
